Commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality
We understand that the right to privacy, confidentiality and security is of the utmost importance. We also understand that being asked to share thoughts, experiences, opinions and beliefs regarding sex buying and prostitution can be an unsettling proposition.
To that end, we ensured our participants that we are completely committed to the protection of them, their identity and their personal information.
- All information provided was kept completely private and confidential.
- The raw data obtained from the online survey was kept completely anonymous and participants were never be identified with their responses.
- Where the results from this research were published, or the data from this project were shared, we assured our participants that their identity would remain private and confidential and their anonymity would be preserved.
- This research received ethical approval by Simon Fraser University’s Research Ethics Board for research involving human participants.
